Food and Wine Festival Coming to Brevard County

Tickets Now on Sale for Two-Day Food, Wine & Craft Beer Festival – June 3-4

COCOA BEACH, Fla. (March 30, 2017) – Tickets are now on sale for Cocoa Beach Uncorked, an all-new food, wine and craft beer festival launching from the sunny shores of Florida’s Space Coast. The highly anticipated two-day festival will take place June 3-4 on the beach at Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach, a favorite gathering spot for viewing space launches and surfing icons. More gastronomical than astronomical, Uncorked Cocoa Beach will celebrate Central Florida’s most renowned chefs, restaurants, and breweries in a culinary showcase served with 180-degree Atlantic Ocean views. The event is the east coast sister of the popular Clearwater Beach Uncorked, now in its sixth year and well-established as one of the best food, wine and beer festivals on Florida’s west coast. “Cocoa Beach is the perfect location to launch our new taste-fest and showcase the finest food, wine, craft brews and other fabulous culinary treasures of Florida’s east coast,” said Tammy Gail, event producer. “We’re bringing together people with a shared interest for what will be an unforgettable weekend for attendees, partners and exhibitors alike. I fully expect Uncorked Cocoa Beach to be a sellout.”

Tickets are $55 per person, per day for general admission and $75 per person, per day for VIP access. Guests who purchase a VIP ticket will enjoy one-hour early admission to the Grand Tasting Village, where they will find extra seating for relaxation and mingling while sipping and savoring Moët & Chandon bubbly in the VIP Chalet.

In addition to the Grand Tasting Village, the two-day event will feature a variety of VIP and interactive experiences, tastings, cooking demonstrations, and competitions between some of the area’s most notable and award-winning chefs and restaurants.

Cocoa Beach Uncorked Makes Successful
Debut on Florida’s Space Coast

COCOA BEACH, Fla. (June 22, 2017) – Cocoa Beach Uncorked, a new two-day food, wine and craft beer festival, made its successful debut from the sunny shores of Florida’s Space Coast on June 3. The first-time festival took place on the beach at Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach, drawing more than 2,000 upscale foodies from all over the world. The event is the east coast sister of the popular Clearwater Beach Uncorked, now in its sixth year and well-established as one of the best food, wine and beer festivals on Florida’s west coast.

“Cocoa Beach proved to be the perfect location to launch our new taste-fest and showcase the finest food, wine, craft brews and other culinary treasures of Florida’s east coast,” said Tammy Gail, event producer. “Thanks to our many outstanding participating restaurants, chefs and sponsors, we’ll build on this year’s success to bring back Cocoa Beach Uncorked next year for another unforgettable weekend.”

Many of Central Florida’s most renowned chefs, restaurants and breweries converged on the sands of Cocoa Beach for a culinary showcase served with 180-degree Atlantic Ocean views. Special appearances included Chef Shaun O’Neale, winner of “MasterChef” Season 7 and author of “My Modern American Table,” sponsored by Duda Farm Fresh Foods; and retro rad Chef Emily Ellyn, Food Network star and winner of “Cutthroat Kitchen,” sponsored by mü.

The weekend festival included a number of friendly culinary competitions, including the inaugural Cocoa Beach Uncorked Best Chef contest held Saturday morning. A panel of local judges evaluated dishes prepared by five notable local chefs, evaluating taste, presentation and aroma. The Best Chef award was won by Sous Chef Kyle Hash of Crush Eleven in Cocoa Village for his Cold Smoked Venison Tenderloin. The panel of judges included former NASA astronaut Jon McBride; Florida Today food and dining writer Suzy Leonard; Ann Schmidt, writer for Edible South Florida; Cocoa Beach Chief of Police Scott Rosenfeld; and Bonnie King, Deputy Director for Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism.

Winners of the People’s Choice Awards (by category) included Tequila Azul (Foodie Favorite); Homemade Happiness (Best Décor); Kush Florida Tequila (Best Spirits); San Sebastian (Best Wine); and Islamorada Beer (Best Beer).
